Recently, we spent a week in Phuket (Thailand) to get away from our busy work schedules to just chill by the beach. Phuket is an island at the south of Thailand (also where Season 7 of Below Deck is shot…!). It is mostly a tourist island with stunning beaches, bright blue waters, great resorts and delicious local food. Here are some pix!
Phuket reminded me of Sri Lanka a little. Chaotic traffic, street vendors and lots of colours.
We stayed in a cool resort by the ocean. Loved the villa up the slope with a private pool. I spent a lot of time just staring out.
The sunsets… they were absolutely ridiculous. THE best part of the trip.

Thai food is 10/10! Delicious and rich in flavours, no matter where we went — markets, places listed on the Michelin guide, floating seafood restaurants and street vendors.
We spent some time out exploring beaches and took a tour to see Phi Phi islands, including Maya Bay where The Beach was shot. Had a wonderful time snorkelling and swimming… before jellyfish eventually started stinging us!
I’ll miss the 400THB (~ AUD17, USD11) daily massages. That is the life. Thanks for looking through the pix.
